Ben Roberts-Smith is a war criminal

And still the only person in prison for these crimes is the man who blew the whistle
It remains legally safe to refer to him as a war criminal.

@grogsgamut.bsky.social Greg, despite the horrors of the world I remain furious about the JJJ top 100/200. Why Shannon Noll’s What About Me and not Moving Pictures’? Where is One Perfect Day (based on Ira Levin’s book) and where is Bad Boy for Love? Angry is a POS but that’s still a hell of a song.

@bobmouldmusic.bsky.social I saw you play Copper Blue in full at the Corner Hotel in Richmond, Melbourne: amazing. We bought very expensive speakers and the way we knew they worked was by playing Hoover Dam. I have Eight Miles High as a single. I love you Bob Mould.

What a huge loss.
I think I speak for all Australian film fans in saying how important David Stratton was in building the foundations of film culture here. Fighting film censorship, the @sydfilmfest.bsky.social, championing Australian cinema and taking film criticism seriously. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-08...
Film critic David Stratton dies aged 85
His family announced his death on Thursday afternoon, saying he died peacefully in hospital near his home in the Blue Mountains.

The JJ top 200 is grinding my gears. Strawberry Kisses by Nicki Webster and What About Me by Shannon Noll are in the top 200 but nothing from Died Pretty, Australia’s best band? Also, if you want to go the full bogan Australia (see The Angels) you should include Bad Boy for Love by Rose Tattoo.

@grogsgamut.bsky.social It’s possibly a product of my dislike of Gary Gary and Kirk and Tim but in what world does the boring derivative dirge Never Tear Us Apart crack no. 1 when there is no Died Pretty in the top 200.

I’m politically homeless. Like so many Americans, I am furious that the president cut $50 billion in subsidies to my exploding rocket and child murdering car business. Like other Americans who have 60 kids with 57 different mothers, all boys with hieroglyphics for names, I am being left behind.

Imagine driving home after picking up your daughters from school and someone jumps from a bridge. You can’t stop so you run them over. Your daughter is in the front seat. Your insurer doesn’t provide you with a replacement car because there’s no ‘other insured’ to claim against. FU Budget Direct.

Sussan Ley has always looked for a political narrative - the only one which has remained consistent is she doesn’t truly believe in anything.

Sussan Ley is yet to make her mark in 24 years in politics
Sussan Ley the politician has shown she’ll offer up whatever helps her own survival.  That’s one way to ensure she’s not holding it for long.

My friend was driving his kids home from school when a man jumped off a bridge and landed on the road in front of him. My friend couldn’t stop, ran the man over. Taken to hospital but we think he is dead. Budget Direct won’t pay for a replacement car for the repair period bc. no second car involved.

@mikecarlton01.bsky.social So Budget Direct won’t provide my friend with a temporary replacement vehicle. He was picking his kids up from school when someone jumped from a bridge right in front of him. He couldn’t stop; ran them over. No second car involved so no coverage for the repair period.
