They didn’t repeal habeas corpus. They just deleted it from the website.

To sum up: since the early 2000s, public universities lost most of their state funding. They recouped the loss by insisting that faculty be grant productive. This was case-by-case money that people earned via rigorous vetting process. *That’s* what the administration is taking away now.
