No crime in history has been so well documented by its victims. And yet inaction and censorship reign, says Guardian columnist Owen Jones

And here’s the thing: a lot of people have no idea what’s going on, so when we talk about it, it sounds like we’re being hyperbolic or spreading conspiracy theories. Which means we really need to be talking about the impacts of Project 2025 in everyday interactions with neighbors, coworkers, etc.
We collectively haven’t been taking the plans laid out by Project 2025 seriously enough. They want to destroy NOAA so people won’t know that climate change is happening. It sounds stupid and alarmist if you haven’t been paying attention.
Project 2025 plan calls for demolition of NOAA and National Weather Service
The call to dismantle the United States' vital weather department has raised the hackles of experts who say NOAA provides not only important free data but also life-saving information.

This is the area I worked on a lot w/USAID funding in AFG & elsewhere. Ppl do not understand there is no Indy media w/o intl funding in many places & no that doesn’t mean left or right wing. USAID set up independent in AFG. Helped women journalists & women owned media. These things will be lost
I'm hearing a lot from the media NGO sector about the impact of USAID cuts. A lot of small investigative media organisations across the globe are facing imminent closure as the funding they've budget for has vanished overnight, and the funder community has no capacity to absorb the shock.

Several major foundations who used to fund this stuff had already withdrawn in recent years – which means some of these newsrooms had already faced some serious cuts, as well as meaning there’s almost nowhere to turn to.

Scientists fear losing essential climate data during Trump upheaval
A temporary loss of access to key datasets on levels of CO2 in the atmosphere added to concern about the potential fallout of the Trump administration’s attacks on climate science
