Some teachers are using AI to grade and few are talking about it. Scantrons are one thing, but automating grading, feedback, and assessing written work with AI poses massive ethical challenges and should not become the default or go to choice in education.

So obviously destructive.
Arizona, the model for voucher programs across the country, spent so much money paying private schoolers’ tuition that it faced hundreds of millions in budget cuts to critical state programs and projects last year.

I am old. I’ve been through so many waves of hustle culture. Outside of occasional crunch times, the overwork is always unnecessary, performative nonsense that provides cover for some combination of bad ideas, abusive leadership, disorganization, a total lack of strategy etc etc.

Growing up, my mother was a public school teacher and principal. I've always benefitted from her stories and her perspective on the relationship between leader & staff. 🧵

Sharing something that has been a game changer for me. Started it in 2019/2020(I'll share the irony in a minute) and it really has helped the non-goal setter/achiever to actually move forward. Got it from Jen Atkin(Mane/Ouai) So thankful I gave it a try. Working on this year's this weekend.
