I am deeply uninterested in “Santa isn’t real” statements because that isn’t the point.
The point is that *anyone* can be Santa. Anyone can make a child smile or give food to someone who wouldn’t have a meal for the holidays (and no, it doesn’t just have to be a Christmas dinner either)

Part of the problem is that a lot of overseas news and "outrage" is filtered through jp right wing twitter, which amplifies and pushes anything that fits their agenda.
Man... I wished the average Japanese had better media literacy.
My partner just casually consumes all her "news" based on twitter. Which is full of right wing disinformation, fabrication and manufactured outrage.
And I do not know how to encourage her to not believe them or to be more discerning
