Hello! I'm a PhD student at U of New Hampshire studying how human development impacts mammalian wildlife. I have a background in field research, and a hopeful future as an applied researcher creating conservation solutions with communities. I love reading, walking dogs, and mutual aid!

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.

Very upset to see my senators @shaheen.senate.gov and @hassan.senate.gov cave to the GOP and fail to protect ACA. What was the point of the shutdown? What are you fighting for?

Terrible. Really upsetting to see NH police partnering with ICE.
The New Hampshire State Police is the latest — and largest — law enforcement agency in the state to announce a partnership with ICE as part of President Trump’s immigration enforcement efforts, a move local immigration activists say is unwarranted and potentially harmful.

Scientists have done the research. Federal agencies are mandated to use that research—much of which was taxpayer funded!—to make evidence-based policies.

This is an all-out assault on expertise, and as Dr. Tran notes, it’s all about grift. People talk about Big Pharma but ignore Big Supplement.
Telling people to “do your own research” when in reality it means embracing disinformation from uncredentialed wellness grifters trying to peddle non-proven alternatives, and ignoring decades of rigorous peer-reviewed work from scientific experts, will kill people.

There are few things as cost effective as Narcan, especially in a country where (entirely preventable) opioid overdoses have been a leading cause of death for years. University leaders need to understand: they are holding INCREDIBLY good cards.

It is so rare in today's polarized era to have the support of 70+ percent of the public against the Trump admiministration on anything. Universities have that—AND winning legal arguments.

🧪 Tip: You have the right to contest a grant termination, even though NSF says you don't. 🧵

On Friday, NSF terminated 402 grants (per Musk's DOGE).

The notification letters had one of the most egregious violations of fed regulations I've seen so far in these cases:

"not subject to appeal"
Here's a copy of an NSF grant termination notice that went out today. "NSF is issuing this termination to protect the interests of the government pursuant...on the basis that they no longer effectuate the program goals or agency priorities." Not subject to appeal. #HigherEd #AcademicSky
