I will check the ingredients list to figure out if the food is ultraprocessed. We may think a lot of foods are healthy, but they can be ultraprocessed. I love broccoli, berries (antioxidants), tofu, and paneer. I eat a lot of vegetables and lentils as a vegetarian. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I think this is a very noteable post! It made me think about how we look at food labels, but we may not realize right away. In this case most of the 15 calories come from sugar. It says 2g of sugar, but that still accounts for a possible 10/15 calories! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This week, I’m making my coffee more nutrient dense by replacing sugar for cinnamon and using oat milk. For meals, I add lentils, leafy greens, and whole grains for more fiber and protein. As a vegetarian, it can be tough to get protein in my diet. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I thought it was pretty accurate and helpful! It was able to reflect on what I eat especially when stressed vs. not stressed. I recalled 2 days before an exam and found that I was snacking more frequently rather than timed meals. My caffeine intake was also higher. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I think this is very interesting! I am personally not a big fan of dyes as they contain chemicals which are not good to ingest in food. I think the range of data provided on this clear graph is great. I am interested to see what the FDA says additionally on this topic.

One macromolecule shared in Lecture 1 was proteins. Proteins are building blocks that help tissues to grow, promote muscle growth, continue metabolic processes, and benefit in weight loss due to feeling full. Examples include : dairy, meat, tofu, vegetables, beans, etc.
