It’s been pretty clear for a while but brought to rack focus today, that successful people are encouraged to view rape as a perk of success and a great many successful people need no encouragement at all.

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

i mean c’mon. the president’s best friend was the most notorious pedo in the country’s history who ran a massive child trafficking ring. every bit of circumstantial evidence we have says that trump was a participant. if this were a criminal trial we’d have enough evidence to compel a plea deal.

The idea that Keir Starmer, who does not appear to have a theory of economic growth or a consistent tax and spending plan, is the only imaginable Labour politician who wouldn't scare the markets... doesn't entirely convince me tbh.

It’s a sad truth that Starmer will not fire McSweeney and co despite the absolute disaster of their latest briefings and that this shows he does not possess the political nous to lead a political party. The briefers have ensured his demise.
Watching Wes Streeting on Sky News successfully skewer the overnight Downing Street briefings against him, you almost have to admire the ineptitude of those around Keir Starmer in turning his own leadership problems into a major story while boosting the very politician they sought to kneecap

This is the pen which ended the First World War.
It was used by British Admiral Rosslyn Wemyss to sign the Armistice on the 11th November 1918 in the Forest of Compiègne.
