In-court sandwich identification is very suggestive. I am therefore proposing an amendment to Federal Rule of Evidence 801(d)(1)(C)…
Defense is now questioning Lairmore on cross-examination. They show a video still of the sandwich and wrapper on the ground, post-throw.

"Do you recognize that sandwich?" the attorney asks.

Lairmore won't confirm.

"I did not go back to collect it," he says.

I think the most useful political activity most of us can engage in rn is to encourage as many people as possible to attend the Oct 18 protests.

We’re at the last stop of the #ZcavengerHunt! Very fun excuse to run (and train and bus) around NYC and learn about some mayors!

A woman who graduated from my high school was detained by ICE after a visa renewal hearing. She was transferred to Louisiana and now, according to this report, to parts unknown. Outrageous. abc7ny.com/post/scarsda...

I love that this diner is playing the music of my youth: “She’s Not There,” “Daydream Believer,” “Walk Away Renee.” Sure, I was born in the 80s. But this is what I listened to in my youth.

A nice old man sat down next to me at the pharmacy. He told me about his upcoming trip to Cape Cod, he mentioned that he studied the brain, and he was just starting to tell me about his research with his wife, when he had to leave. This was him: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Ka...

Has the Court ever given a justification for issuing orders without reasoning, other than lack of time?

I get "we don't have time to tell the state why they can't execute this man in an hour," but if there was time to write a dissent, isn't there enough time to give basic reasoning for the order?

Cuomo did *less well* in the Upper West Side than he did in some neighborhoods that Mamdani "won," like East Harlem and Flatbush. Lander had his strongest showing in the UWS. Once RCV plays out, and lots of those votes (like mine) ultimately go to Zohran, the neighborhood winner might change.
