I go on "the other place" intermittently....mainly just to wind up the wrong 'uns.... I do enjoy that

Please don't call what RFK Jr. and Jay Bhattacharya are going to do medieval. It's not medieval. It's nothing like the Middle Ages. People in the Middle Ages were happy to try all kinds of things to not die of the plague and if you'd given them antibiotics and vaccines they would have loved it.

Infants under 6 months old are MORE vulnerable to hospitalisation and severe hospitalisation than even people over 90 yrs old.
The good news is that they *very* rarely die from Covid (risk of death is MUCH higher for the over 60s), but needing to go to A&E, or a hospital stay, is NOT good. 3/10

Just finished @adamwagner1.bsky.social’s Emergency State. It’s an excellent read but, despite having had relatively good lockdowns, I found it quite difficult to go back and remember how crazy it all was. Knowing more now about the ineptitude of the government at the time makes it harder, I think.
