So huh. I don't usually do this because I don't feel deserving, but my car broke down and I sadly don't have enough money to have it repaired. While I'm trying to scrounge for some money to get it fixed, any support, no matter what kind, would be extremely appreciated.

FWIW the Bluesky team agrees. Hopefully not in 5 years (I'd like at least 10 good years) but everybody knows the cycle. The company is a future adversary.

PayPal is updating their ToS to let themselves give your data to merchants starting in November and they're certainly banking on people not knowing to opt out, SO to opt out before they start:

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Wafaa. Waffa’s husband is a journalist who was covering Northern Gaza- he was abducted a few months ago and is in Israeli prison. She is raising funds for her large family including her 6 kids for survival (and rebuilding/ evacuation)
