“Noem has previously echoed…claims that a small band of protesters, who have rallied in their dozens outside the Ice facility since June, including one who wears an inflatable frog costume, are “terrorists” who have placed the office “under siege”, making the deployment of federal troops essential.”
Maga influencers have been descending on Portland's small but persistent protest outside an Ice office to pick fights and glean content. So naturally, the cabinet member Trump cast for her on-screen presence showed up today with a trio of influencers in tow www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

A large helicopter has been circling over the Portland ICE facility for around 2hrs. People on the ground suspect it’s military. One person said they took video in the daylight and it’s blacked out with no info on it.

Another person’s air traffic map was blank over the facility.

No regret rate will be small enough, no assessment procedure cautious enough, no amount of studies will ever be sufficient because what they objected to was never the health care but the lives it helps trans people lead. We are the contagion this administration wishes to eradicate.

NEW — OMB temporarily pauses all agency grants and loans programs.

Per copy of memo: "The use of Federal resources to advance Marxist equity, transgenderism, and green new deal social engineering policies is a waste of taxpayer dollars that does not improve the day-to-day lives of those we serve."

This is an appallingly discriminatory document.

This not only seeks to define transgender people out of existence, as with last week's order, today's executive order states that being transgender "conflicts with a soldier's commitment to an honorable, truthful, and disciplined lifestyle."

“… a bunkerised society maintains a permanent state of readiness, … as a condition of living in the hollowed-out shell of a state that does not take infrastructural stability and basic need satisfaction as a right, but as a good one must supply for oneself through consumer choices on the market.”
