No regret rate will be small enough, no assessment procedure cautious enough, no amount of studies will ever be sufficient because what they objected to was never the health care but the lives it helps trans people lead. We are the contagion this administration wishes to eradicate.

This is an appallingly discriminatory document.

This not only seeks to define transgender people out of existence, as with last week's order, today's executive order states that being transgender "conflicts with a soldier's commitment to an honorable, truthful, and disciplined lifestyle."
