I've never understood the argument that VA isn't the south. lol only people who don't live here can say that.
Virginia was the capital of the Confederacy. I am BEGGING y'all to stop removing VA from the South when it VERY MUCH IS. Maryland is the South, too.
Remove VA and OK.

NEW: In order to win policy solutions that protect people, we need to stop framing extreme weather events like the LA fires as "natural" disasters and start framing them as political disasters.

They’re banning TikTok not because it harvests data, the same way US social media does, but because they can’t influence it’s algorithm with congressional hearings or government contracts the way they do every other tech giant. That’s it.

IRS whistleblower Charles Littlejohn recently began serving a federal prison sentence for sharing the tax returns of some of America’s most prominent billionaires — including Donald Trump.

President Biden should free him now, a group of tax law professors urge in @inequality.org:

Saw the film 2073 last night. It takes place 50 years after "The Event". What's "The Event?" Asif Kapadia uses archival footage from the 90s - 2024 showing the fascist takeovers of democracies and how they are all connected.

It's a warning.

i naively thought that most people were on board with the 20% standard tip
A majority of Americans say they would tip 15% or less for an average restaurant dining experience, including 2% who wouldn’t leave a tip at all.

Adults in lower-income households & those ages 65+ are more likely than their counterparts to say they would tip 15% or less in a situation like this.
