To make it plain: I'm not only referencing the early stages of the Holocaust here, but also the Middle Passage.
I repeat: shipping people to forced labor camps in foreign countries based on little more than their ethnicity is a practice with a history.
Every time I hear about the conditions of the El Salvador camps I think about growing up hearing lots of stories where the US invaded & overthrew a government that captured and treated people like that.
I know the mythical US of WWII stories distinct from historical truth but the myth is dying too.
