Augmented renal clearance (ARC) is so important, we all need to think about this more. 👌👌

ARC most commonly comes into play regarding antibiotics, but it can be relevant for any renally cleared drug.

I got tired of opening a dozen PDFs to find the ECMO pressure/flow curve I need.

So I made an app!

Choose the cannula/size and you can see the max flow for a given pressure drop. Or compare multiple different cannula.

Lmk what ya’ll think. Useful? What’s it need?

For my inaugural post, Im proud to announce the publication of our Safer@Home care model. This is going to change how medicine is practiced. No need to admit pts "for IV antibiotics" anymore. Or just for IV diuresis in CHF. Or just for EtOH withdrawal. Etc.

Important & fascinating finding!
Honey, stop what you're doing, new hyponatremia research just dropped!

What's it say?

It looks like slow correction is associated with worse outcomes, like death and length of stay!

Was it just a small study?

No, it was a meta-analysis of almost 12,000 patients!
