I can't bear all this never-ending budget speculation. Reeves and HMT should stay silent until she gets up in Parliament and the media should stop endless guessing or offering 'what x would mean for you' pieces. I just want to know what the budget actually will do on the due date. Enough!

I'm guessing Orban pays well.
Toby Young, self-appointed king of free speech, is speaking in Hungary tomorrow about UK “censorship”.

He’ll be addressing a group funded by Viktor Orbán’s autocratic regime, which has seized control of the country’s media, judiciary, and routinely harasses its critics

I was bereft at Brexit and really want to rejoin. But sometimes, the virtue signalling is ridiculously OTT. Ensuring every woman in Europe can live without fear is a fantastic aim but I fear they will fall well short despite the orange office.
Last year, the EU adopted its first-ever law to fight violence against women and domestic violence.

But this is not the end of the story.

Tonight, Europe shines orange as a reminder of our responsibility:

To ensure every woman can live without fear.

The wrong country “Brexit’d” from the EU.
🥴🇭🇺 Orban: Hungary will now block absolutely any aid to Ukraine. Europeans must immediately and unconditionally support the peace initiative of the United States.

In addition to supporting the U.S. President, we must without delay launch autonomous and direct negotiations with Russia.

I don't know if better decisions or greater trust led to better compliance, but Scotland seemed to have less damage from C19 than elsewhere in UK. Perhaps more humility and less arrogance than UK helped.
The facts show that Nicola Sturgeon handled the Covid pandemic significantly better than the rest of the UK, saving many more lives. Westminster cover up.

This message is a constant one. At some point surely one of the strategic geniuses at the helm of Labour policies will start to absorb the message. I fear it could be a long time coming given the scale of the U-turn required...
VERY funny that Labour are being pointlessly cruel and haemorrhaging support from their base and yet none of what they're offering is ever going to be enough for the people whose approval they're seeking, WHO could have predicted it

The Covid inquiry’s findings are shocking but unsurprising now, so the main thing it left me thinking is that without a vaccine we wd’ve been utterly screwed. & if you worked round the clock to make a thing that saved millions of lives globally, to see that legacy trashed by anti-vaxxers…

This brings back all the horror of the time esp for those who lost family, friends and neighbours while confirming our suspicions about Johnson.
The Covid Inquiry finds that if Boris Johnson had called the first lockdown even one week earlier then it could have saved at least 20,000 lives.

Here's a quick reminder of what Johnson was actually doing during those weeks

I can think of a dozen sensible ways in which being an MP could be made more like being a middle manager in a reputable company. But it will never happen because ‘we’ve always done it this way’ which IMHO is one of the big problems in Britain.
