What a beautiful, still day in sublime Wester Ross. Such a balm when so much of the world is in turmoil.

Frosk amphibians confirming they are all anti-facist.

Continues to be a bit lively in Wester Ross. Power out in Annat since last night, pos due to this tree next to Annat Lodge. Electricity cables intertwined in the tree so a slow repair. At least mobile signal has returned.

Do it. Absolutely no regrets at big, if somewhat different, decision to follow our dreams. Sitting enjoying a glass of wine with this view.

Tiring circular walk from Achintraid today that turned out not to be circular due to a deer fence. Knackered but glad we opted for that over a drive to rainy Inverness for shopping. The Lochcarron stores had everything we wanted anyway.

"Politicians should work to “reduce and defuse tensions” instead of stoking division, a senior chief constable has said."

It says something about where we have got to when a senior police officer is trying to dampen down political leaders' toxic rhetoric.

Android! I know how to select wallpaper but not how to screen grab. Anyway, it's an old photo of the lovely Neko no longer in my phone gallery. Nearest thing I can find.

What a surprise. Despite consuming 10 of UK electricity, we generate 16% of UK electricity.

When it comes to renewables, we're way ahead at 70% of our electricty being from renewable source...

And yet, we still pay more per unit.

Could have been next Glastonbury controversial band, The Balaclava Aubergine Girls. Instead, gently sautéed and served with honey - tasted delicious.

I'm sure I just heard on BBC Scot that murderous Saudi regime nominated Trump for Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to stop India and Pakistan going to war, the one hot spot where he has been told to keep out by Modi I think. Backscratching autocrats make me throw up.

A poppy to cheer us all up.

Ahem. We need to stop with the frog-hating. Farage is appalling whereas this chaps is delightful.

I barely recognise this new carpenter and gardener. Just shows, after more than 40 years of marriage, you can still be surprised! Nice surprise though🙃

The bliss of a Highland Spring evening. The sun is out, the birds are singing and our day of planting etc is over. Here's to many more evenings like this. Esp before the midges hatch. #WesterRoss #Scotland

Gairloch Harbour, outside the net store. The woodwork place next door had this. I'm loving this Highland Christmas vibe.

Modern Britain.

Wealthy tax-avoiding monarch of a country where over 3 million people a year rely on emergency food parcels hosts wealthy monarch of a country with appalling human rights and which relies on forced immigrant labour for much of its wealth.
