you (the viewer) and i know that there's always gonna be alternative methods of playing the original, sure, but there's a lot of people who don't, and for as much as i don't care about the IP anymore it does feel kinda bad to know someone might bounce off of a series they'd otherwise love because-

i'm not even Yakuza 0's biggest shooter but it kinda stings that there's eventually gonna be a sizeable amount of people getting into it via a cheap marketing gimmick that makes the entire story toothless, needlessly bloats the file size, and has a deeply flaccid dub (vs. 7 and 8's stellar ones)

One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.

My even more unpopular opinion is unless you have personally experienced the thing, you should probably refrain from having an opinion on it.
We need to return to shaming people for parroting YouTube/TikTok with stuff like "When I want your opinion, I'll just find the YouTuber who gave it to you."

"you have not played the game unless you've played the game" is one of my more annoying but unshakable opinions
the whole "don't play the game, just watch a video on youtube that will explain its story to you" is so disheartening because the issue of accessibility is genuinely really important but it's always just people who want to be spoon-fed nicely quantifiable information

This makes no difference in almost all situations EXCEPT when they are fighting another Platinum. If they both jab each other at the same time, the "winner" gets the hit

Seeing how much of the right-wing on Twitter is just bot farms, kinda lays bare how much hate and hatred is a project that needs to be constantly maintained, a fire that needs to be fed all the time lest it go out for a moment, so much time, effort, and resources to keep people angry and hateful.
