Stage Magician, Showman, Turncoat, Metaphor for "the self-made-conservative-man", kind of a dick. Alt account. Co-mingler of cursing, bitching, and gallows humor. (I'm not Ian Bliss. If the LNwtD team is annoyed by my borrowing the character, HMU)

NEW: In 2021, the Drug Enforcement Administration welcomed the addition of body cameras and touted the “enhanced transparency” they bring.

Now the agency has quietly ended its body camera program, citing a Trump executive order.

The DEA Once Touted Body Cameras for Their “Enhanced Transparency.” Now the Agency Is Abandoning Them.
An internal email obtained by ProPublica said the agency made the change to be “consistent” with a Trump executive order. But at least two other federal law enforcement agencies are still requiring bo...

The Accountant 2 is amazing, kind of dumb, fun as hell, and both movies in this budding franchise should be cherished and protected from any asshole virtue-signaling bullshit critic trolls. Great article. I love every minute of both flicks.

I just tried to look up an old half-remembered story about some early internet dev that wrote a program to indicate whether his status was "pants on" or "pants off"... but all DuckDuckGo offered were articles on early childhood autism.

It’s like we don’t even try to make laws sensical anymore.
“Good intentions alone are not enough to make good policy,” EFF told @apnews.com of the TAKE IT DOWN Act. “Lawmakers should be strengthening and enforcing existing legal protections for victims, rather than inventing new takedown regimes that are ripe for abuse.”

One million seconds is 11 and a half days. One billion seconds is 38 and a half years.

So, how can you conceptualize 38,000 years? And that’s rounding off Five Centuries.
TLDR: from 1991-2020, $28 Trillion. “Russia's Gazprom is responsible for $2 trillion, Chevron for $1.98 trillion, ExxonMobil for $1.91 trillion and BP for $1.45 trillion.”

I have no idea how to contextualize those numbers.

Yes, I've seen the account that alleges to be from someone at a literary agency, making fun of queries that come through the door. If real, it's shitty, unethical behavior, also, I just wrote a best-selling book about the moon turning to cheese, so fuck anyone shaming writers for "out there" ideas.

We should do this nation-wide. It's how ALL the other developed countries do it. The entirety of the tax business is a needless useless parasite and if we closed tax loopholes we could have so many budget issues fixed.
FDR sent a letter to the IRS commissioner in 1938 saying he was "wholly unable to figure out the amount of tax" and after providing his income information, asked them to "let me know the amount of the balance due."

One of hundreds of people abducted by ICE and sold to slavery in El Salvador was a 19 year old with no criminal record in the US or Venezuela and no tattoos of any kind.

An ICE kidnapper who grabbed him outside his house said, "He's not the one."

The other said, "Take him anyway."

So they did.

Last July, Project 2025's Kevin Roberts said “the second American Revolution ... will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.”
It was a declaration of war against the American people, a demand for our surrender. Some cowards in law, academia and business have submitted. Many of us never will.
