I am extremely cross about this behaviour. Steam continues to arbitrarily censor people for spurious reasons - even NO given reason - and leave developers no recourse

By that I mean: trans people have been banging the drum since 2018, w/JKR and other trashbags and bad actors in the board game space. And they can't do it alone.
For true allyship to work, cis folks have to care about & support trans people as much as they care about and support non-trans people.

this is not to say that banning porn games isn't a stepping stone to banning non-sexual queer content: it definitely is. but it would be nice if we could actually hold solidarity with porn creators, instead of only caring when we think things we like might be affected.

This is so true. Here in Europe, especially south/east countries, we struggle a lot with taking a stance, affirm values and hold true to these. It's like we always think everything is an exaggeration and end up just not doing anything socially. And this is not only boardgame related, it's cultural.
I'm wholly out of the Codenames universe so didn't realize. But to reboot or release HP content in the year of our lord Project 2025 is a fucking choice.
It also reenforces the casual privilege of the Euro bg industry in general, who have always been a bit slow to see that games *are* political.

This is so true. Here in Europe, especially south/east countries, we struggle a lot with taking a stance, affirm values and hold true to these. It's like we always think everything is an exaggeration and end up just not doing anything socially. And this is not only boardgame related, it's cultural.
