Outrage politics aren’t new! Sometimes it feels like we live in a uniquely polarized moment, but Franksgiving reminds us that outrage has long been part of the playbook.

Outrage politics are designed to exhaust us and force us to give in because it's easier to maintain the status quo.

And importantly, movies can help us see this history plainly! Movies are more than the stories they tell. They are primary sources, too. They’re windows into the past, and thinking about them critically can offer us alternatives for how we can act in the future.
