They did an-OK remake/legacy sequel a few years ago and got around tech about as well as the first film got around things, mostly because the kid stays off the grid, there’s no real criminals (it’s all a misunderstanding) and Buzz is now a cop and thinks the initial call-in is Kevin pranking him.
