With this year-long Captain Marvel hiatus, I hope editorial has used the time to find a writer with an engaging concept and a fitting artist. Here's what I think the title needs to succeed going forward: a new tone; a unique take; a sense of history; and a new look.
I'm reading a Kindle edition of "Captain Marvel: Carol Danvers Declassified", and the amount of research @kellifitzwrites.bsky.social must have done to keep track of so much continuity is staggering. What's even more of a task is establishing a coherent through line, a life story. I'm impressed!

Still mixed on this. The writer's just not exciting, and Clea's (apparent) absence is a total hype-killer, especially right after MacKay's spent 4 years rehabilitating the character... But Strange exiled on Asgard is a fine premise, and I LOVE Magno; his Asgard will be marvelous! Let's see...

Nice of Ewing to connect the dots Cates didn't bother to connect in his Thor run when he brought Blake back. Maybe he just didn't know Blake's latest status quo? Either way, nice touch by Ewing to fill in the gap between where Fraction left Blake and where Cates inexplicably picked him up.
