The “only two positions” approach - ubiquitous and dumbing us all down at a staggering rate
There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI.
1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.
Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.

The first Trump administration felt like it was full of 1960s Batman villains who’d use a flock of birds to steal a bank shaped like a giant ceramic pig. The second Trump administration feels like it’s full of 1980s Batman villains who’d break into your home and shoot your daughter to make a point.

The rub. Resident Chump and his puppeteer are either relying on the fact that no-one cares about corruption (bc it’s amazingly easy to convince ppl that all institutions are at some level corrupt) or believing that corruption is whatever the person with the most authority/power says it is
