I am disappointed that Councilor Ryan took the time to speak about a social media post where he called this ordinance part of the “national socialist” (a term that refers to Nazis) agenda without actually making an apology.

There is clear evidence that certain landlords are colluding to hike up rents through software like RealPage. Let’s keep this debate on the topic of price-fixing in rental markets.

This is not the level of decorum I expect from my colleagues. I think it’s especially ironic that Councilor Ryan would ask us to focus on policy and not on personal callouts, when this is one-sided behavior on his part.

Great news that the Senate has passed the bill forcing the DOJ to release its Epstein file. Now Bondi must comply. But our work cannot stop there. We need to force the Treasury to release the Epstein bank records too. I have a bill to make that happen. FOLLOW THE MONEY.
