A queer gamedevs event in Brazil was censored by the Secretary of Culture of São Paulo State. Advertisement was stripped of its pride flag colors, the event was renamed from "Queer Jogar?" to "Mostra de Jogos" and the name of the organizer (Coletivo Trans de Gamedevs) was not mentioned anywhere

Censura e Opressão do Queer Jogar pelo Estado de SP Fundado na metade de 2024, o Coletivo Trans de Gamedevs reúne pessoas trans desenvolvedoras de jogos, com o objetivo tanto de acolher membros, quanto promover discussões sobre todo o universo trans e game dev. Dessa forma, adquirimos um entendimento maior de como podemos agir para melhorar as condições dentro da área de jogos. Seguindo essa filosofia, nossa última ação foi a organização do “Queer Jogar?”, um evento feito por e para pessoas LGBTQIAPN+, realizado em um espaço também feito para esse recorte populacional, o Centro Cultural da Diversidade. Queer Jogar? contou com uma programação extremamente rica, incluindo palestras, exposição de jogos e feira de artes e artesanatos, tudo isso com a óbvia presença de um viés queer e trans, algo político por si só. Dado que toda a organização do evento foi feita de forma voluntária, no tempo livre, pela equipe do Coletivo Trans de Gamedevs, também contamos com a parceria do CULTSP PRO para termos acesso a alguns recursos-chave para a realização do evento. O programa – principalmente por conta da pessoa responsável pela nossa parceria dentro do CULTSP PRO – se provou um aliado muito valioso durante toda essa correria, aceitando a proposta do nosso evento, e mantendo sempre uma comunicação transparente e amigável com a nossa equipe. Porém, nas vésperas do Queer Jogar? nos deparamos com um fato no mínimo revoltante: a identidade visual do evento – desenvolvida por nossa equipe com tanto carinho e cuidado justamente para comunicar tudo que representamos – havia sido completamente higienizada nos materiais de divulgação usados pelo CULTSP PRO em suas redes sociais e canais de comunicação. O nome do evento reduzido a apenas “Mostra de Jogos” com “rodas de conversa” e um “espaço de experimentação” (seja lá o que isso deveria significar).

A coisa que mais me chocou nos vazamentos da Game Freak foi descobrir que o orçamento dos jogos da Gen 10 é de aproximadamente 20 milhões de dólares.

Isso é mais ou menos o que a gente gasta por ano com azeite extra virgem. Inexplicável, considerando o tanto que essa porra vende...
