He/him/whatever (hey, it's good enough for The Great Gonzo)

Lover of cats & books. Not literally, get your minds out of the sewer and back into the gutter.

Technically Independent, but fuck Trump, MAGA, and any members of the GOP enabling them.

Except many/most of them are NOT aghast. They're cheering him on. They are PROUD of being stupid, blind to facts, and enormously hateful toward anyone who doesn't fit their mold. They are absolutely DELIGHTING in "owning the libs" and "making liberals cry again."

I've just checked my Word settings, and it was indeed defaulted to 'on', so if that's your preferred writing system, do check to stop it using your work to so-called 'train' so-called 'AI'~ Anna

...I wish I had joined just a *smidge* sooner to be either #688,888 or #688,886. Ooh, or possibly #688,889 so it has rotational symmetry, yeah, that's the one.

My Bluesky feed algorithm is full of cats and I love it and thank you everyone for all your pictures of your cats because that's exactly what I needed this past week after losing my Thumper. Here's her enjoying some fresh air a few hours before the end.

wow- japanese researcher has discovered a protein that can dramatically extend the lives of cats by treating kidney disease (which eventually kills most cats who live long)

supposedly a medication should be on the market in a year or 2!

...And half the people at my gathering don't even believe it exists.
In year one
it was dangerous
so we canceled
our gatherings.

In year two
we were careful
so we tested before
our gatherings.

In year three
we were shocked
when we fell ill after
our gatherings.

Now in year four
we’re over it
so we invite the virus to
our gatherings.

With #NaNoWriMo coming up, I sometimes wonder what kind of advice @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com would quietly give me. I feel like it would go somewhere along the lines of "Just write, but make sure you enjoy the ride". Or something?

Here's the story of a crew so gory
They all plotted to subvert democracy
None of them had any shame
Like the leader
Of their conspiracy
Till the one day Don and Rudy met this lady
Who indicted them on much more than a hunch
Fani's got receipts in Fulton County
That's the way they all became...
🎶 that’s the way they became the shady bunch
