UK buying US jets that will remain under US control sounds to me like simply a sop to Trump.

It’s also a dangerous misdirection of scarce funds.

True security requires a completely different approach.

Nigel Farage wants attention for *saying* he’d scrap the 2-child benefit cap. But in the vote against it, did he show up?

No. Zero Reform MPs voted against the cap in July.

Green MPs put it in our costed manifesto, signed the motion, and voted to scrap it. Actions not words.

All these media people asking whether Rachel Reeves is returning us to austerity really need to say “…which we know does not work in any real way, and specifically in terms of growth”.

I mean, it’s obvious austerity is cruel, but we need to be clear that *it doesn’t work* either.

As we wake up to the news of another 200 Palestinians (minimum) killed by Israeli air strikes in a clear end to the ceasefire…

Netanyahu has not allowed any food, water, or fuel into Gaza in two weeks.

Now he has resumed bombing, killing hundreds of people and breaking the ceasefire that had given Gaza a chance to live again.

NO MORE MILITARY AID TO ISRAEL.

An honour to talk to Norbert Wilson at Duke University, about our work to bring citizens closer to food systems policy making. I recorded this back in November, and SO much has happened since. But the core message remains. People care about food - and they want their governments to care too.
🎧 🗣️ Our CEO @suepritch.bsky.social talks to Norbert Wilson on 'The Leading Voices in Food' podcast about the power of citizen engagement in policy.

Amongst other things, Sue highlights the overwhelming degree of consensus we found from citizens in #TheFoodConversation.

Austerity fuels Wales’ struggle and the rise of populism

Austerity by any other name would smell as bleak. Change was promised and an election won on the back of it. But the narrative is unchanged. And who benefits?
