The point was to avoid giving Republicans a 1 year CR.
They did that.
Unfortunately voters decided to give Republicans majorities in a system where the minority party has no power beyond that which the majority party gives them.
And even so, they managed to reduce this to a 2 month CR + SNAP.

1. Because they're either dumb and refused to research facts of various topics, and/or they chose to reach intentionally bad conclusions from the facts, despite being educated and/or warned by Democrats over and over.

I live in a DC burb in MD, which truly i have dubbed, "parking lot designed living." Life here seems to have been constructed around parking. And every road is a 6-lane highway.
