Advised that if I tried the machine would eat them and they couldn't access. Told to go to Post Office instead. #Banking

Okay my Mum has always shared her Clinique free gifts with me but this morning's offering seemed harsh.

I had the choice between a large or small pot of Wrinkle Correcting Cream!!!! 🤔

Don't think need it but can't be definite since my sight is that bad I can't see my reflection easily.

Not the kind of post I like to put out but just getting very fed up of people absolutely incapable of respecting boundaries and that no means no.

I've always been easy going and won't make waves so ended up having people tell me to stop letting myself be walked over etc which is hard when nice.

I already got Mad Enough to Blog It™ yesterday about the WordPress thing but here it comes again—the time-suck of just having to figure out whether or not any particular service you used for some fully unrelated purpose is selling your stuff off for AI fodder indignity.substack.com/i/142156685/...
DocuSign now says they'll be using your data* to train AI. *Anonymized. But that's not really a thing.

DocuSign makes software to sign documents online. All types of contracts and other docs use this service now.

Block and move on. Block and move on. Block on a whim, Block weird replies. We are not here to "win" the internet, we are here to read cool posts from experts and artists we would never ordinarily be able to interact with, and occasionally promote our own cool stuff to like-minded weirdos.
Bluesky is officially “open” now (no more invites). So just a reminder to not engage with trolls and bad actors, there is no algorithm here to promote or spread them, replying to them is what puts them on everybody’s timelines. So block and give no oxygen.

Friends, I wrote up a quick guide to getting started on Bluesky for folks who are used to old Science Twitter.

Please share it with your folks who are joining. And please let me know if I missed anything or got anything wrong. 🧪

I am horrified that the University of Kent is planning the closure of many excellent programmes, including Anthropology, and is proposing up to 58 redundancies among academic staff! This further destruction of UK centres of academic excellence is heartbreaking.

Why is it that after years of being the nice person doing everything for others at cost to yourself and encouraged to not be such a doormat that when you dare to try and put yourself first that told so wrong for that too?!

My issue with Bluesky is I see so many posts from just the few that I don't see those I'm following that may wish to interact with.

And half the time if I go search under the ancestry type threads can't find much different from the same few again.

Do I just need to post for sake of posting?

Ancestry are now telling me there's 47 DNA matches who are on both sides on my tree. Probably should apologise to those poor people related to me at least once. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
