I’d gift the article but have unsuccessfully tried to gift articles 3x, doesn’t work

Around the world the point of the far right is not that governments are spending money.

It is about governments spending money on poor people or infrastructure.

The far right wants all that tax payer funding funneled into their own back pockets. That is their goal. Always and forever.

I read the NYT every day because I trust their journalism but seriously they need to insert just a tad more assumptive language to headlines. We will not think less of you @nytimes.com

Rat Free? It's illegal to keep rats in Alberta along with 75 years of active rat patrol, until recently that is. Kick out the elected rat, deserter to Canada, denier of First Nations rights.

75 years of Alberta's mission to keep rats at bay | CBC News
Twice a year, a patrol team scrutinizes barns, straw bales and grain storage bins along a 600-kilometre stretch of the Alberta-Saskatchewan boundary. They're looking for rats, continuing a 75-year mis...

Pierre Poilievre is living in a 19 room mansion with a $215,090 annual budget for his chef and groundskeepers.
It is paid by the taxpayer for “Leader of the Opposition IN the House of Commons”.
Pierre is freeloading on the taxpayer's dime.

Canada votes
No big money:$1750 max, individuals only, no corporate or union $ or anonymous PACs. No drama: volunteers and day workers hand count ballots and attest to each one, discussing concerns with pre-determined rules for disputes. (CBC photos)

VPD needs to explain exactly what they mean when they say the suspect was known to police and has mental health issues, before this narrative gets spun any further.

Mental health issues don’t cause murderous rampages. What do Vancouver police mean?

To a lawyer, this is the most dangerous plank in the piffleswipe Pierre Poilievre’s platform.
If implemented, it would represent the complete Americanization of Canada’s legal system.
We don’t appoint judges to be ‘strict’. We appoint them to find the facts and apply the law, including the Charter.

Ok, I admit to reading the G&M everyday, it’s legit, but you also just know they are chomping at the bit to find a way to endorse PP. Without fail, I think, they tip their hat to conservative “business” candidates.
I’ll eat my words gladly to be wrong 😉 @theglobeandmail.com

“We’re conservatives, we don’t believe in that… (programs to help people during Covid)” PP
Just as Covid was devastating lives, Pierre Poilievre's answer was reduced government services. He wanted to ignore the sick, the dying, AND those who needed financial help to get through the pandemic. Oh, and then he wanted to transform Canada to a Bitcoin-based economy. No, thank you. #cdnpoli
When millions of Canadians didn’t know how they were going to keep a roof over their heads or feed their families during the worst global health & economic crisis in a century, #PierrePoilievre (who voted against #CERB & other measures to protect Canadians), said his plan: tax cuts & deregulation 🤦‍♀️.

This is harmful and deplorable.

I stood up in the house and made it clear that we stand with survivors, their families, and communities.
