The European Extremely Large Telescope 🔭 (with a primary mirror of 39 m diameter) will start operations in 2028! The construction site is already very... sorry... extremely impressive!

Comet in January! Keep your eyes peeled and 🔭 at the ready for the rare chance to spot Comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS).
Closest approach: January 13th.
Still hard to tell yet, it could be a tricky one to spot and we mightn't see it at all. Worth keeping it on the calendar though!
