I spent a few hours last night revising the EC outline (now on version 2.5.3) and this morning my computer had died.

How am I to interpret this?

There are a lot of gray areas in running a society or government. There are issues where there's not always a 100% right answer and there will be disagreements even in good faith

Instead my country is debating concentration camps, secret police, destroying the planet, and killing the poor

“Independence day is canceled because of fear of secret police raids” is really a level of on the nose political symbolism you just can’t make up.
LA Times - Several communities in Los Angeles County have called off or postponed their previously scheduled Independence Day and July events, citing resident safety amid ongoing immigration enforcement raids.

Growing up I'd about how democracies are doomed to fail because "the people" will learn they can vote themselves "free stuff" (often framed around Healthcare and food stamps) and how horrible this is, but when corporations do the same thing for decades those same complainers don't say a thing

Another thing I think about often is the modern American conservative conflation of fear with respect

One fact the German elections paints as American is how controlled our political system is. All we have is a far right party, and a centrist party. There is no party of the left

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

So here's the thing

Even when it looked like Colombia simply "bent the knee", it's not a victory that the conservative subgroups thought it was

I know you all are bullies and you think this is what strength looks like, but that's not how you treat an ally. But beyond what the "right" thing to do

Americans voted for cheaper groceries. Less than a week on the job and Trump's already managed to get us into a trade war that will drive up the cost of coffee and be a gut-punch to American farmers and manufacturers, all because Colombia hurt his feelings.

There are times where benefit of the doubt is called for, but a billionaire apartheid nepo baby that has propped up far right German political parties and has actively flirted with and supports white supremacist talking points giving a sieg heil is not one of them

I try to remind myself that my anxiety overpowering any rational thought or logic is something we developed to keep us on our toes watching for dangers just around the corner back in the day
