At present we underpay staff in the ‘care’ sector and don’t fully reimburse their actual expenses eg petrol, insurance etc. The training ladder plateaus at a fairly low level as do the wages and we exploit women. Professional wages and advancement might eventually address the EXISTING shortage. 🙄

It was wonderful to visit a rewilding project in Herefordshire with James and Oliver from Rewilding Britain. We heard about the landowner's thoughtful approach to creating space for nature, from bugs to birds, and the place was certainly teeming with wildlife (as well as being a working farm)!

Doctors Without Borders-supported Nasser hospital is now the only public hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
