So, comparing the two, I'd say these probably are just the original versions. Barring compression, the colours seem identical.

Continuing from yesterday, my favourite OP from the ORIGINAL Urusei Yatsura is "Dancing Star".
Not only does it capture that relaxing yet quirky atmosphere I love from the show but the syncing of music and animation is at its most satisfying.

Continuing from yesterday, my favourite OP from the ORIGINAL Urusei Yatsura is "Dancing Star".

There's a lot to love crammed in here (the way the manga's style transitions into the reboot's is a neat touch) but this is definitely my favourite shot.

Honestly, after the upcoming Tom and Jerry blu-ray, I'm hoping the most for a complete Billy and Mandy set.
It's always been such an underrepresented show on DVD (just season 1 and the movie) and it really deserves so much better.

The kicker? It's rated 'T'. Crash and Spyro's remakes had to remove guns to ensure an "E for Everyone" while Tom and Jerry were too busy coming out, guns blazing.

The hysterically manic movements and zany expressions here are only strengthened by the strong musical timing.

Apparently the LD one IS the one where they censor the dialogue, though I'm not sure if it also does any of the cropping from the DVD.

Incredibly happy the 'Mouse Cleaning' restoration has finally been (partially) released.
As one of my favourites, I've watched this one a ton on the Classic Collection (as far as I know, the only DVD release), so it's surreal seeing it so vibrant and clean. [1/2]
