To seal the deal, I've stolen this format from my friend but made it uglier. (Some of) My favourite media you can expect me to talk about at nauseum.

Not only does it capture that relaxing yet quirky atmosphere I love from the show but the syncing of music and animation is at its most satisfying.
Plus, it helps it's just really catchy.

The manga panels and montage feel like a celebration of the series, while it still works as a lively introduction to the mayhem for newcomers.

It's always been such an underrepresented show on DVD (just season 1 and the movie) and it really deserves so much better.

The music is calm but also aggressive and twisted. And there's that unsettling grain and fog that obscures those tarot cards.
Like the show itself, its eeriness comes from a surreal weirdness instead of anything outright scary.

Visually impressive, too, with only four long shots in four minutes.

(I'm impressed just how spot-on they got the look.)

The hysterically manic movements and zany expressions here are only strengthened by the strong musical timing.

As one of my favourites, I've watched this one a ton on the Classic Collection (as far as I know, the only DVD release), so it's surreal seeing it so vibrant and clean. [1/2]

There's so much mesmerising fluidity and personality in each movement, with all its stretchiness.

Its highlight is undoubtedly this earworm of a song, complete with some great character animation (full of personality) and a fantastic reflection dance.

A great rendition of "Dance of the Comedians", with its exciting tone broken up by varied moments of escalation and tension.
I can never get enough of that sting when Wile E. grabs the rope.

Though you know he's playing a character the entire time (a fun, unique premise), Mel Blanc delivers the sympathetic angle so convincingly that you still kinda feel bad for him.
An excellent performance from Daws Butler, too.

Roger Lloyd Pack's comedic timing is honestly unparalleled.

Their chemistry is as suprisingly strong as "allies" as it is as enemies but there's criminally little of it out there.
A hilarious delivery from Blanc here, with that chaotic animation of the wave.

I don't prefer it to the original (they're equally fantastic) but I just enjoy the grander feel of the remake, with a little more going on in the tracks. It helps ones like this feel a tad livelier and atmospheric.

While Bradley's later frantic scores fit the series better, the slower and cynical tone here is really catchy, thanks to that reliance on repeated motifs.
Some great animation on Tom here, too.

Imagine an educational show that actually works in good slapstick. Entirely comprise it of gags like this and, who knows, it COULD work.

The highlight is this knight sequence. Fun music, over the top in its violence and completely insane.

The highlight is absolutely the duel. Not only is it a hilarious Blanc performance with some great character animation but it's refreshing to have a moment where Pepe isn't chasing someone.

Both the incredibly painful/impactful slapstick and Foghorn's frantic running here are phenomanally done. Plus, it ends with one of my favourite lines.

It really pushes the coyote's humiliation, with every little thing adding further insult to injury.
The start also has my favourite rendition of "Dance of the Comedians", with its calmer and sneakier sound.

For a 60s McKimson, the plot kicks off gratefully fast. There's a great pacing throughout, with a nice flow and escalation to each sequence.
