Good luck America.

Good afternoon you lovely lot! It seems that dispatches have tried doing a hit piece on disabled people. I don't know how many times I have to say this, but benefits are not easy to claim, people don't get given free cars, and disabled people aren't the reason the economy is fucked!

Excellent summary of how privatisation results in the utility companies being owned by a state.... a foreign state....
How privatisation works (and Thames Water is just the latest example).
1. A government takes a national asset built up with taxpayers' money and the work of public servants over many years, and hands it, for a fraction of its value, to a private company.
2. In doing so, it creates a monopoly.

Bluesky seems to be a much nicer place to be. I’ve therefore decided to post the odd ‘classic from the CWS archive’ from time to time. As kind of sorbets between the main courses of hideousness.

Tories always do more harm to farmers in reality, but farmers coalesce in a distrust of Labour. Why, when they ditched their ideological attachment to land nationalisation nearly 100 years ago.Read more about the 20th Century’s best Agriculture Minister, Labour’s Tom Williams in Scattering Plenty.

Just dipped into Twitter and more than half of the feed is far right ranting. Rich farmers planning a protest against closing the agricultural land tax dodge and sundry Tories and extreme right riff raff pledging support.

Quite bewilderingly dumb headline from the Sunday Times Money page. If you actually read the article it says that the OBR projects that 1.3 million homes will be built over the course of the Parliament (5 years?) as against 1.6 million the Tories built since 2010. Really pathetic journalism.

Tories and Fossil Fuel Industrialists don't care about 2100. They care about their personal wallet until they die, (maybe 20 years), and possibly their kids inheritance without realising or acknowledging their kids and certainly their grandchildren will be screwed.
Carla Denyer, "By 2100, it will cost 7.4% of our GDP if we don't act on Climate Change.. Which is a hell of a lot more, than acting on Climate Change today.. It's a money saving measure"

Tim Shipman, "Maybe in the long run, but in the mean time it will put people's bills up"
