Remember when cafes had newspapers? OK they all have WiFi, but the papers are behind pay walls. How could it work for cafes to subscribe to a region's 4 or 5 main papers, making them available with the WiFi without crushing the price of a coffee?

When a friend hands me a magazine in a cafe & says. "Have a look at this," the magazine doesn't melt after the 1st paragraph. I hate having to commit to a paid relationship for every link. I want journos to be paid. I subscribe to many online & print sources. I don't know the answer, but ffs.

OMG - the judge in Florida just sua sponte struck the complaint in the Trump v NYT case for -wait for it - violating Rule 8.

Lawyers, tell the folks at home how hard it is to get the complaint struck outright for something like that in fed eral court.
