I am an abolitionist, but like it or not, there is an NYPD (for now). The job of NY abolitionists is to organize under Mamdani (much better than Adams or Cuomo). And who should Mamdani tap for the NYPD: his choice, who would likely tarnish him & the cause, or Adams’ 3rd choice he can fire anytime?

Such an intriguing contradiction. The UK embraced being an Empire unlike the US where people are finally owning up to it.
