Summed up completely. This country is for all of us but this Labour government doesn’t want to listen to us.
It's the cowardice that did it for me too. I voted Labour 18 months ago hoping to end the performative cruelty and now I'm living in a far right hellscape of grotty flags on every lamppost and the BBC on the brink of collapse. The lack of leadership is utterly unforgivable.

Reform UK just set up a tent in my town centre. So I went along to ask some important questions. But the answers showed the party only cares about distractions, not about actually solving Britain’s problems. #TheCanary

A simple rule of thumb: Any politician who proclaims to be pro-EU while avoiding supporting re-entry to the Single Market is afraid of mentioning Freedom of Movement. Many have been playing that game for 10 years, and pro-EU voters are wise to it. Anything without Freedom of Movement is still Brexit

The Panorama edit was poor journalism, not sure how it happened (more than 15 yo when I worked there we all had to go on a course because someone made the Queen look grumpy about something in the wrong order). But of all of it, this is the only piece I’ve read that properly nails the issue…
The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

New piece from me.

Surreal, and so very disrespectful to every person who fought in the wars for the freedoms we all enjoy today

There will be another 60 vote Friday* on the garbage shutdown deal. If we can convince just one Senator from the 52 republicans and 8 Dems that voted yes to flip, we could still stop this. Please jump on the phone today, call them, and share this widely.

*If all goes by the regular schedule

Ok President Trump, if you sue the BBC for $1bn for spreading lies, I’ll sue you for the same amount. I reckon Planet Earth would crowdfund that. Then I’ll buy Mar A Largo, turn it into a climate change research centre, free Melania, and put a 1000% tariff on orange face paint.

We have hours before the Senate takes its final vote. We need to contact the 8 Dems and demand they don’t vote to reopen the government without a guaranteed agreement to protect ACA subsidies. After the longest shutdown in US history, we’re not walking away empty-handed.
