If you add testing, automation, source control, low toil management and observability to good DevOps practices, you have good DevOps practices with some duplication.

Convince me I'm wrong?

KYAML output format is like Dr Pepper.

It's not for everyone. But if you don't like it, don't request it. Nobody is gonna mind.

Instead of not going to California for that KubeCon, I won't be going to Salt Lake City.

Not only do I not like flying, the US' current ways of treating people (whether foreign or domestic) really puts me off.
Uh…KubeCon NA ‘26 is going back to Salt Lake City…

That’s disappointing. I was really looking forward to it being in LA instead *sigh*

This sounds cool. Git has great plumbing and … a user experience only a kernel contributor could love.

I'd love to see collaboration on code feel more like Google Docs than a filesystem check. Genuinely excited even by the prospect that jj becomes that, or helps pave a path.
TL;DR: I'm going to be leaving @oxide.computer next month, which I'm very sad about. But it's to join @ersc.io , which I'm very excited about!

Most TVs run Linux. All the manufacturer needs to do is own up to it.
5) Critical mass on the media side. Very unpopular choices by Intel and Nvidia, which are strongly partnered with MS in the desktop space are chasing AI winderfalls and the dollar signs shooting out of their breed-plumbing has fully blinded them. But people have no money. Which leads to: 6/🧵

I'm going to Scotland next month for KCD UK (and I'm doing a talk there).

Might get one of these—I don't have any Scottish banknotes to take with me 😉.

chroot() escape is older than I am.

I learned to do it circa 1999 and it is not hard. You know those split stable-type doors where you can lean in and undo the bolt? It's like building a jail with those on each cell.
