It took me 10 months to obtain the public records that shed light on this investigation. Allegany County at first tried to redact Ternent's name from the records, but the MPIA Compliance Board sided with me.

Ternent abruptly retired soon after I got the unredacted report.

A career in my beleaguered, collapsing, detested industry will always be worth it for the chance to write sentences like this gem from today’s New York Times. ☄️

Looks like I need to get AI to write “The Lines Between Us 2.”
New frontiers in A.I.: "A new service called Objector is offering 'policy-backed objections in minutes' to people who are upset about planning applications near their homes."
AI-powered nimbyism could grind UK planning system to a halt, experts warn
Tools that help people scan applications and find grounds for objection have potential to hit government’s housebuilding plans

I am calling upon the people of Ireland to immediately begin construction of a thread on this site about how you or someone you know was roasted for a fashion choice. We need it.

All roasts must have come from Irish people *only*. Please respect this important rule, it makes a difference.

Good morning, journalists
No other word has done more damage to the craft of writing in recent years than “content”. Even if you’re using the word “content” ironically, or as a cute little joke, don’t. When someone calls writing “content” they’re pissing on someone’s hard work & passion. “Content” is Technosatan’s henchword.

Armed agents demand proof of citizenship, taking pictures to feed into a massive surveillance image database, all while wearing a mask themselves.
New: Videos show ICE/CBP agents are scanning peoples' faces on the street to verify citizenship. ICE has tool to instantly look up unprecedented number of databases with just a photo

“I’m an American citizen so leave me alone”

“Alright, we just got to verify that”

ICE and CBP Agents Are Scanning Peoples’ Faces on the Street To Verify Citizenship
Videos on social media show officers from ICE and CBP using facial recognition technology on people in the field. One expert described the practice as “pure dystopian creep.”

I was camping without a signal this weekend, but it sounds like the President posted a weird animated video of himself Dave Matthewsing protesters from a jet but the actual military exploded a 155-mm shell over I-5 sending shrapnel all over the veep’s protective detail?

At a youth soccer tourney today, a guy stalked across the field to tell someone, “Curse at my daughter and I’ll f***ing bury you. Under the ground.” I share not to commiserate over American sports culture but to get kudos for my restraint—for not pointing out that “under the ground” was redundant.

Now with AI, there's a map of a map of a territory. Once AI starts fully eating itself, there won't even be a map.
If you wanted to script a scenario to perfectly vindicate the work of Jean Baudrillard, it would be Trump II.

A simulacra of a president running a simulation of a presidency, based on simulacra of news broadcast by simulations of news media.

Baudrillard is to Trump II what Foucault was to GWB.
