Federal lists of banned words for research scientists. It seems that “white” and “male” are okay, but not “female” or “Hispanic”. The list goes on.
Federal list of forbidden words may jeopardize research at UCSD
The banned words include: women, disability, bias, status, trauma, Black, Hispanic communities, as well as socioeconomic, ethnicity and systemic.
