A Campaign Architect in Iowa. Passionate about local campaigns and helping first-time candidates.

Mom of two strong, independent girls. Fighting to make a better future for them.
Today in the Telegraph Herald, a Senior Vice President of Capra Bank called me "consulants" with an "s." Sorry, dude. My consulting firm is just one mom who has a history of helping my candidates defeat rich boys.

Dr Roberts was detained by ICE in Des Moines and, apparently, driven to an ICE facility in Council Bluffs.

There are not the words in the English language to describe how disgusting and horrible this action is.

Knowing that, no matter what, in January 2027, Joni Ernst will no longer be my Senator and Ashley Hinson will no longer be my Congresswomen is definitely going to help me sleep tonight. I'm looking forward to having representatives in DC who actually care about me and my family.

Lindsay James being able to represent me and my family in Congress would be a dream come true! There is no one kinder, more passionate, and loving of all Iowans--not just those that vote for her. Lindsay is the real deal!

Democratic state Rep. Lindsay James says she's "very seriously considering" running for Congress against Republican U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson.

It is nice to see that in this time of uncertainty, the White male sexual predators are still sticking by each other 🙄. Bros before decency, right?

A DHS official told me Noem & security had no idea who Senator Padilla was. Now, the FBI is running with the statement that the senator "did not identify himself and was not wearing his senate security pin" — but he very much did identify himself, loudly, on video...

I'm not sure the writers of Veep would have set this "apology" video in a cemetery, but that tooth fairy line definitely would have come out of Selina Meyer's mouth. Truth is definitely stranger than fiction.
Against all odds, Joni Ernst has made it worse

I think I am going to need Raygun to offer a subscription box with how frequently they are having to put out new t-shirts this year.
Say what you will about Joni Ernst.... seriously, WOW, just say what you will!

Tariffs are Administration 2.0's "Infrastructure Week." A distraction is needed, so roll out more tariff talk.
President Trump will hold a “press conference" at 4pm to announce tariffs on the auto industry from the Oval Office.

Watching the person you worked so hard to get elected stand on the floor and advocate for working people makes all those long days and late nights worth it. Honestly, so proud of Tom Townsend right now.

My unpopular opinion is that I really like daylight savings time. I can't imagine trying to survive an Iowa January if the sun doesn't rise until 8:00 AM. I will always trade one Sunday with a 23-hour day when it ends in order to mentally survive the Iowa winters.

It appears that tariffs on Canada and Mexico will be this term's version of Infrastructure Week.

We need community now more than ever. Take some time to research a local group you might benefit from participating in. Maybe it's a local charity, a sports group, or volunteering with your local Democrats. This might mean stepping out of your comfort zone, but that might be just what we all need.

How it started/How it's going. In 2017, I rallied in Dubuque with my mom while sporting a baby bump. Today, that bump is now a 7 1/2 year old girl who marched through the cold with her mom. We won't stop organizing and shining a light, no matter who is in the White House!

Congratulations to Chairwoman Rita Hart on her re-election. I hope that her bold vision and compassionate heart will help lead Democrats as we push to make Iowa a place for all where everyone can live and thrive.
BREAKING: I just got word that the Iowa Democratic Party’s State Central Committee elected its new chair, Rita Hart of Clinton, by a “landslide.” This will be Hart’s second consecutive term as chair of the Iowa Democrats. #iapolitics
