I asked my aunt, the doctor,
how worried we should be
that someone in Washington
has tested positive
for avian influenza,
and she said: what worries her
is not that a single person
has been infected
but that we keep giving
bird flu the chance
to evolve to infect us all.

Just a nice story about people helping wildlife. Just a note... These people are experts and knew what to do. If you find a baby animal that appears abandoned call your local wildlife agency and leave the baby animal alone unless they tell you what to do. 🌎

it's both deeply unhealthy for a human to regularly make jokes about killing other people and deeply fucked for other people to normalize that

and also it's appropriate to find creative and funny ways to shame pedophiles as such.

it requires humanizing both parties, if you can stomach that

To everyone else suddenly casting about for dreamy periodicals to sigh over, now that #Vogue is anathema, may we recommend #Ornament as well as #PenWorld.

What else would you recommend??

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.
