Oh my god.

They removed "transgender" from the page about Trans woman Sylvia Rivera's page at the National Park service.

"Sylvia Rivera began fighting for gay and _____ rights"

WOW.

Would it be Stonewall without the T? #Stonewall existed long before the National Park Service added it to their list of historic places and will always embrace their inclusive roots. Just like transgender people have always and will always exist. #WontBeErased #translivesmatter #marshamarshamarsha

Wow. Yesterday was… a lot. Losing Cecile. The peaceful transition of power to a felon with a Dictator complex. How’s everyone doing out there, folks? Did you get any sleep?

Neither the stroke of a pen nor the pounding of a gavel can erase transgender people. They have always existed. They always will.

I have to admit that it’s been a lovely trip down memory lane as I am saving photos from all the years on meta apps before I leave them. But I will say that the food pics are far less memorable than the people I was with and the conversations we had. Which is what I’m taking with me.

The term ‘radical act of optimism’ was used at an awards show recently. We should embrace radical acts of optimism even when things don’t feel so hopeful. Maybe especially when they don’t. We will continue to reach across every aisle to help support, educate and empower mothers of LGBTQ+ children

He should know. Henry stood on the steps of the Supreme Court to speak the morning of the Bostock oral arguments.
Asked about if trans people have an inherant right, ACLU: "We believe transgender people are a protected class under the US constitution."

Asked, "do you have any court cases you can cite?"

"Yes. Bostock v Clayton County."

In this moment, privacy and security for LGBTQ+ families should be prioritized by any organization that serves the community. And public facing advocacy and allyship should be leveraged by those who have the privilege, capacity and willingness to stand with those who are the most marginalized.

Who could have possibly imagined that having to move 11,000+ moms from private Facebook groups to a private network in a short period of time would actually be a joy in this moment?

Always love seeing the genuine JOY some people have for winning something like the Golden Globes. Life can be so terrible for so many but yes - we can still let people have their moment, have their work recognized and have joy. 🥳 #goldenglobes

I was so proud to have Mama Dragons represented at the #FreedomToBeOurselves rally at SCOTUS. But, as Executive Director, I didn’t feel the need to be the one to speak. A singular voice of a mother of a trans youth carried the right message of love, acceptance and fierce advocacy. #FightLikeAMOTHER

I still believe that building community one potluck, game night, coffee shop meeting, dog park conversation at a time will be the glue that holds us together.
You are living proof that hatred has not won.

In the story you are writing here—good, compassionate, open-hearted people still walk the planet.

Don't underestimate the subversive, catalytic power of this.

Loving this analogy.
In an echo chamber, you can learn to best perfect and amplify your sound. This - engage the base to turn them into a tuneful choir - is reliably how you convert the conflicted. If your base won't carry your message, the middle will never hear it.

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

It’s breaking my heart to hear the fear / pain that mothers of queer youth are experiencing. We all want what’s best for our children. We want them to find love. We want them to thrive. Unfortunately, what some people want for themselves is what they hope is not just denied for others, but destroyed
