Hi, my name is Liz, I’m a recovering conservative evangelical.

Once, an essay I wrote purity culture queen Elisabeth Elliot went evangelical viral.

This Jan., I’m releasing my first book, KNOCK AT THE SKY: SEEKING GOD IN GENESIS AFTER LOSING FAITH IN THE BIBLE. (Yes, conservatives will hate it. 😋)

We all know that Christian nationalists are running the White House.

But do you know the philosophy that undergirds their policy? It’s called Christian Reconstructionism, and Trump’s cabinet are its fan boys.

Here’s what Christian Reconstructionism is, comes from, and where its taking us ➡️

Just had a fascinating conversation with @lizcharlottegrant.bsky.social about her book, Knock at the Sky.

It was fun to take a trip far off the beaten path of topics I usually cover, and dive deep into the literary text of Genesis and how it has been interpreted and applied over thousands of years.

This. Is. Wild.
New from me on what the rage and glee on public display after the killing of a healthcare CEO portends.

I suspect the corporate world will respond with more security and retreating even more into their gated lives.

They would be advised to read up on history.

Well now it's Muppet Christmas Carol time and it's my annual tradition of gassing the shit out of this movie.
Keep an eye out in the opening montage for the muppet dumping a chamber pot full of banana peels into the street.
