today’s session at Wild Goose Festival was fantastic

Saturday’s 4pm conversation on art as a spiritual practice will explore the spiraling nature of creativity and the spiritual life through the framework of

belonging > becoming > beholding > bestowing

join us!

(and I’ll have good snacks!)

I failed to take notes on something and now I can't remember where I saw/heard/read about it

what I think I saw/heard/read was a story of a writer(?) or (artist(?) as a teenager(?) being dropped off at the Rothko Chapel in the morning and picked up in the afternoon

help?

did I dream it?

one of my son’s best friends is a super talented young producer/DJ and he dropped this Drake remix yesterday and it’s fantastic

edm fan or not, it will make you want to dance

Matai (aka MODIM) is one of my favorite people—he’s a great guy

they obviously didn’t read the description because this was their takeaway after reading The Great Belonging…

“Book by mentally ill religious fanatic”

“I don't want to hear about her musing for her mental illness or her religious beliefs. I found the book useless and threw it away.”

I know others have said this but it’s wild how much this country hates women

highly recommend adding a rolling hospital table thing to your bedroom setup because it’s convenient AND it provides another spot for piles of books

(also currently watching a lecture by Alexander Nemerov)

watching art documentaries to take breaks from the devastation and horrors happening all around us

so I’m open to all art documentary recommendations

1000 or so recs might be enough

I’m finding some hope right now in music, a global resource for communication, inspiration and plain old happiness. I don’t like the phrase “universal language” bc it’s inaccurate but the urge to make and enjoy music is global and we can all learn from sharing it. Support the music makers.
