I love doing 1:1s with clients because it also helps me notice myself more. There are so man instances where we get pulled into the swirl of the present that it can be hard to remember solutions that have helped you get through high intensity times before.

The actions we take all produce some exhaust as fires produce smoke. The quality if what we put in the fire and how we tend the fire determines if exhaust will be brilliant light and heat or choking smoke. #gita #yajna #karma

The Good Place feels like a really long hot take on #karma theory but without getting into the original question of why a given person is how they are to begin with.

Wow, I just had my first dose of a medicated Ayurvedic ferment (literally one tablespoon) and... That is a noticeable taste 😅
It's kind of like of Jägermeister actually just tasted like medicine but super low ABV. Here's to my best effort to round out the last stages of my post-covid gut!

This is the best use of 2 minutes and 15 seconds of your time today! Please watch it yourself and then share it. 💗
This video is for all US citizens who are currently overwhelmed by Trump's more than 200 executive orders.

THIS should be retweeted to the MAX.

I never saw a more helpful video.

(It's about two minutes long. It's worth a lot.)

I just got a typo/spelling suggestion that I swap 'inequity' for 'inequality'.

Thanks, Google.

For me it's the assertion to improve data quality while dropping the standards of care and defunding research all in one move that is the most concerning. That is a call for a propaganda machine with outputs labeled "science".

I started realizing yesterday that my window of tolerance was shrinking fast. It's amazing how easy it is to externalize the cause of #stress.

Today I learned your digestive system relies on nearly 1.5 liters of hydration just for stomach acid, bile and enzymes. Drink up! 💧 #healthybody #hydration #Ayurveda

We (who are using Bluesky routinely) knew this already but an official poll showed the majority of scientists now using it and finding it better to discuss and find research as well as waaaaaaay less toxic 🧪 www.nature.com/articles/d41...
Bluesky’s science takeover: 70% of Nature poll respondents use platform
Roughly 6,000 readers answered our poll, with many declaring that Bluesky was nicer, kinder and less antagonistic to science than X.

46 was drummed up to be the new 36 from projections that life expectancy would continue to increase. For those banking on their mid 40s and early 50s to help firm up financial stability for the myth of retirement, LC would be a rude interrupter.

Even if you create a resource or opportunity for people, even if you walk them through how to activate it, that doesn't mean it will be taken up. We all have our own motives and attachments that help us progress or stay stuck. You can't make that jump for anyone.

A WaPo reporter contacted me in ‘21 as my bday was just after initial Covid lockdowns, asking how it felt as I was set to miss a 2nd social birthday due to the virus.

I replied I was disabled and spent most of a decade “social distanced.” Did they use my unique angle to raise empathy? Nah. Ghosted.
2 weeks into stay at home orders … someone said to me “is this what your life is like all the time? I had no idea.”

I felt so seen. Quietly frustrated that it took a global pandemic for them to empathize… but seen.

Imagine my shock when these same folks decided staying home was “too awful” 🧵

It's been coming up a lot for me this week the way that things I consider to be an inherent part of my personality are exactly why some things cause me so much grief. In #Ayurveda, the ancient yogic study of biology, medicine and nutrition, part of this is your constitution or #dosha.

Pre-emptive diagnostic testing is uncommon because it violates the concept that if there's a similar solution with similarly presenting symptoms, you should go looking for the more rare, more expensive test. It's "mathematically more efficient" to ignore a patient's felt sense of internal distress.
I’m glad this young man was saved but the descriptors used are troubling.

He was “tough”. A father. A firefighter. Wouldn’t be complaining for “nothing”.

Would a disabled or marginalized woman have received testing?

This exact scenario is when we get told it’s “nothing” and sent on our way

Totally agree with this. There's a belief that many of us don't have access to information from our bodies, and that what we think of as information is over reaction.

I didn't write a full blog this morning, but I did realize that I've written enough in the past two days to be able to work on a little #zine! Here's to focusing on small, targeted projects and keeping momentum 🥂
I'll add details of what I'm thinking below.

Dynamisms is what makes our lives feel worth living. This is a follow up on my previous post. If you're interested in discussing it, you can sign up for class on Sunday with the link at the bottom of the post.
Harnessing the Strength to Live Dynamically
Preoccupation with our self-concept hinders dynamic living and goal achievement. Characters in stories often face choices that reflect their adherence to their perceived identities. The struggle against complacency and the pursuit of spiritual growth resonate deeply with human experiences of suffering, urging individuals to seek Self realization beyond life's limitations.
