Breaking: Federal court blocks Texas from using new congressional gerrymander in 2026 midterms.
Federal court blocks new Texas congressional map for 2026
The decision is a major blow for Republicans, in Texas and nationally, who pushed through this unusual mid-decade redistricting at the behest of President Donald Trump.

This is a 52-pound 9000+ page accordion-bound artist’s book of Donald Trump’s lies, conceived, printed, and bound by Jill and Ray Nichols of @leadgraffiti.bsky.social in Delaware. Each of the 9000 pages has the text (per the Washington Post) of one or more of Trump’s lies; none are repeated.

Just passing it on. Thanks to the people working at the Bakery Lorraine on Louis Pasteur in San Antonio today for the smiles! (The surprise complimentary piece of pineapple-upside-down cake was the cherry on top.) Little gestures really do go far. :)

We’ve received a lot of questions about Trump’s demolition of the White House East Wing.

Here’s how the process is supposed to work:

I’m running for governor.

For over a decade, Greg Abbott has made it easier for billionaires to profit while hardworking Texans struggle to afford groceries, housing, and healthcare.

But together, we can make Texas work for Texans again.

I think of this movie often. It's all kinds of brilliant.
“I remember DICK often, increasingly so over the past few years—but I find myself surprised by the ways I’ve returned to it, how tenderly I catch myself thinking about it, the lightness that settles on me every time I rewatch it.” - Isabel Cole
Dick (1999): fYou Can’t Let Dick Run Your Life
I’ve found myself surprised by the ways I’ve returned to 'Dick' over the years, how tenderly I catch myself thinking about it, the lightness that settles on me every time I rewatch it.

Very cool getting to see some of Isabelle Brourman’s court sketches in person at the Untitled Art Fair in Houston. They feel like they handily place a firm stamp both in art history & in American history. Great, thought-provoking work that elevates an overlooked art form & reframes current events.

Without talking specifically about this, Tim Kaminski & I described our lived experiences with this phenomenon (link below). As a non-chrononormative artist, I am really feeling this article. And while there are additional elements of ageism in the arts, I'm happy to have a word for this part now.

Have been thinking about continuing relevance of Dada artist George Grosz's political critiques. His scathing 1926 painting "Eclipse of the Sun" portrays alliance between feckless political & military leaders and capitalist financiers. Grosz, branded "degenerate" by the Nazis, fled to the US in 1933

Becoming increasingly clear we’re gonna have to build a parallel infrastructure for all the media we really love. The reason all of this is happening under the color of law is hyperconsolidation, dissent being traded straight up for merger approval, or fear of harassment.

Just finished teaching what I think is one of my favorite courses ever, and I'd like to share it with all of you, because I think it relates to where we are right now. In a time awash in anger, hate, and grievance the course was devoted to another set of themes: Love, Joy, and Devotion (thread)
